Why I'm Running
I grew up in Georgetown South, the son of a factory worker, a hard-working mom, and the grandson of a woman who fought hard to protect residents on Mountainview Road from expansion. Being a lifelong resident of this town, I have watched our community change fundamentally.
Streets like mine that used to bustle with kids playing are quiet, with neighbours not speaking to each other.
Farmland is disappearing to make way for rapid growth, and our heritage is fading away with it.
Lifelong residents are struggling to afford staying in the town that they love.
Kids only talk about moving away because opportunity seems to lie elsewhere.
I believe it does not have to be this way, and I want to bring back the Georgetown that I grew up in. That's why I am running to be your Town Councillor.
I bring years of political engagement to the table with MPs, MPPs, and political organizations at the federal and provincial levels. I will bring the freshest perspective of our community to Council, with a unique understanding of the Town of the past, and what it should look like in the future. My education in government, history, and society will equip me to make bold, collaborative, and problem-solving decisions while being YOUR voice on Town Council.
We deserve a councillor who knows this community. If elected, I will be the first Ward 4 Councillor from Georgetown South.
Whether it be from my time flipping blizzards, reviewing legislation, or teaching kids, I am ready to fight on behalf of my neighbours. I hope I can count on your support.
